Rio Dance Studio was founded in 1981 by Fabian Gheri and Maureen DeLacy, hostess of the popular ABC TV show, That’s Dancin’.

Since then Rio’s success in dancing lessons has resulted in the establishment of conveniently located Melbourne dance schools in Balwyn and Prahran.

Our vision is to have a dancing class environment where people can come along, with or without a partner, and learn to dance in a happy, relaxed and professional atmosphere.

Learn To Dance In Our Melbourne Studios

A dancing school is only as good as its last dance lesson and it is with this in mind that our Melbourne studios conduct themselves.

Our dance classes are known for their fun and diversity where our students learn to dance such favourites as the Waltz, Foxtrot, Quick Step, Samba, Rumba, Cha Cha, Jive, Mambo, Salsa, Merengue, Tango, Rock N' Roll and Tango Argentino just to name a few.
